I was assured by both Future Shop and Bell that I just needed to plug in the USB to USB Passport to satellite receiver and I could back up my receiver recordings. When I try to do this I get the message on the TV that there is nothing connected to the USB. Can somebody help please.

The passport Ultra has not been designed to backup programs out of a Satellite receiver. I recommend that you contact your Satellite receiver manufacturer or cable company for more information.
