Using My Book 6tb to backup Windows 2008 R2 error

I have recently purchased a My Book 6TB for backing up my servers in my office.

The external book resides on a Windows 2012 server USB 3.0

All of the windows 2012 servers are all backing up correctly.

My only Windows Server 2008 R2 is having problems and errors out. I have researched the error and it is pointing to 512 emulation not working correctly. Is there a fix for this? reformat?

The error I receive from Windows Server Backup happens when it begins to copy to the drive located on the 2012 server machine. The error says: “Detailed error: The parameter is incorrect.”

Any help to get this resolved is greatly appreciated!
