There has been a lot of discussion on getting Album Art on the Fuze, but most is dealing with revising the files on the computer before transferring them. While in MTP mode and and opening up the files on the Fuze, I see Albums (looks like this is where the .alb files are). I have tried to put 120x120 .jpg files in this window folder with the correct AA. (I can’t add more than one folder.jpg or album art.jpg to this window as there is already a file with that name in that folder) and I don’t see how the Fuze can determin which album art.jpg and folder.jpg goes with which album…unless i put them in the music/artist/album file. I tried to add .jpgs to the “Album” file along with the other .alb’s and 2 out of 10 worked, I don’t know why. I have tried putting the new AA’s (either name) in the Music/Artist/Album Name folder…some yes…most no.
Is there no free software that will allow editing the files in MTP mode (MP3tag doesn’t see the MTP drive…only the MSC) so that I can use it…see there is no AA, add an AA while still on the Fuze? Many times Rhapsody will read the MTP files and actually see the AA on the Fuze, but it won’t show when using the Fuze. Is there free or inexpensive software that will save .jpg’s as .alb’s? Maybe I should just make sure I have all my music backed up, format and before loading again, check the tags again. I can them use MP3tag before downloading.

With out switching out of MTP mode… I would copy the files to my desktop, edit them in mp3tag and then add them back to the player.

Exactly - that’s where they go. The Fuze knows to associate a folder.jpg in the same folder as some tracks (mp3/wma/ogg etc) with those tracks.
Easiest way to do it is with Windoze Explorer. I keep folder.jpgs in my PC library, which is organised in folders (artist/album), to transfer I just drag the album folder across with tracks & jpeg in.
Leave the .alb files and the Album folder alone.
