" Unsupported Rate"??

    Hello all:

I just bought a “Sansa Connect WiFi MP3 PLAYER 4GB” from

WAL Mart of Chicago.

After installing the “Yahoo! Music Jukebox”, I "drag and drop

songs to the Sansa Connect icon in the left column" from my

PC, but most of them don’t play. It prompts:

             Can’t play - Unsupported Rate

I really don’t want to turn back the goods. Could you tell me

what is the reason and how to solve the problem?

This usually means that your computer is confused about what the player can and cannot handle.  Which version of Windows Media Player do you have?  Also, what firmware version do you have on the Connect?

General questions, including how to check the firmware version:  http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1541

The key thing is you want to have the current firmware.

EDIT: I forgot Poland.

If this message is being displayed by the Connect, I don’t think it has anything to do with his computer.  Mostly likely it’s exactly what it says … the songs were not encoded in a bitrate that the Connect supports.  ( OK, it would’ve made more sense if they included “bit” ).

According to the user’s guide, “The Sansa Connect player will support 64-192 Kbps for MP3 and 32-192 Kbps for WMA.”  Actually I’m not sure if this is correct as I think I’ve put 256 Kbps songs on my Connect.  Hmmm.
