Today when I rebooted my windows 8 machine, the font when windows 8 starts is undecipherable. It’s symbols no letters or numbers. My password is unrecognized. I removed the CMOS battery but the problem persists. I tried to refresh win8 using the install disk but get a can’t refresh windows due to a unnamed problem. I get the same message when I tried to reinstall win8. This font only appears when the SSD is being addressed.
try secure erasing the ssd and then reload. if that fails the ssd would need to be replaced.
