I just got a my book external drive. When I ran the program I got the error message “Disconnect all usb devices except for mouse and keyboard.” I did that and still got the same dang error message. I went to the forums to find a solution. I disabled all of the USB root hub in device manager and it still didn’t work.
I am not installing the update. To heck with it! I don’t want to bang my head into the wall over a piece of garbage program that requires you to hack through your system just to get the dang thing working.
I’ve been building and fixing PC’s since 1992, and by far this has to be the worst program I’ve ever used. You’re developers need to be scolded harshly for this abomination. Go back to the drawing board and recreate this from scratch. Flashing the ROM on an external drive shouldn’t be this cumbersome. SMDH.
