Unable to install application software for My Book Studio Edition II

When trying to install the application software for the My Book Studio Edition II the installer locks up on the initial screen, “Application Installer”. This states:

Application Installer

Applications are being installed…

     WD Anywhere backup :       Preparing

     Memeo Autosync :

     Copy Application Software :

I have tried to install on two different machines.The preferred PC for installation is running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and the alternative is Windows 7 Home Edition 32 bit.

Any advice on how to solve this would be greatly appreciated.

What’s the version of WD Anywhere backup you are installing? If possible download the one from the website.

It says Release 1.4 on the disc.
