Transferring media directly from Sony Handycam direct to WD Elements HDD

I have just purchased a 1TB WD Elements Portable Drive to enable me to Directly transfer video/photos from my Sony FDR-AX700 whilst on holiday without the need to take my laptop with me! Trouble is, I don’t know what I need to connect the two together! Is there a specific lead available to connect a Multi/Micro USB terminal on the Handycam to the WD Elements Micro B port? Or, can you purchase an SD card reader to connect to the WD Elements Micro B port? Or, something completely different?

Not gonna work … The hard drive like your camera require a “host” device eg. a Computer.

You have to plug the 1TB WD Elements into your Laptop, the same way you do with your camera … and then you can transfer your photos.
