Toilet

Help!

I dropped my sansa fuze in my toilet.

The screen filled up with water and won’t turn on.

Is there any chemical hazards when using a wet mp3 player?

No hazard to you in using it when it’s wet (as long as it’s not plugged into an outlet), but potentially deadly to the player.  Never use an electronic device when it’s wet!

Try to gently shake as much water out as you can, and as someone in this forum suggested, rinse it with distilled water to help get rid of any contaminates.  Shake out any water again, place the unit in a bag with dry, uncooked rice and let it sit for at least a week.  The rice will slowly absorb any moisture that’s still inside the player.

Thank you. I hope this works!

You’re welcome.  Good luck with it.

Not to make fun of your situation, but there is just something hilarious about someone who calls himself fudge dropping his mp3 player in the toilet.

There may not be any chemical hazards, but there may be some bio-hazards when attempting to use it afterwards. :stuck_out_tongue:
