Time/date stamps on ALL files that were backed up to WD Passport...need to remove

When I backed up my files using Windows 10 backup (many gb worth), they were all saved on this Passport with time/date stamps. Specifically, they look like this: filename (2016_08_22 05_14_11 UTC).extension

I want to restore all of these files but when I copy them back over to the new hard drive, I want these stamps removed. How is this possible?

You would need to consult the documentation of the program/application you used in order to backup your files. Your WD Passport will behave as instructed by the automatic backup utility handling your files.
