The Hard Disk cannot be formatted by windows and the files currently stored on the drive are accessible occasionally, but not always. Connecting the hard disk also lowers the performance of the computer.
Hello, have you tried using a different computer and different USB cables? Was the drive dropped?

the issue?
It might be that there are several corrupted sectors on the drive and this is the reason why is having the performance issue. I would recommend you to attempt to get the information out, even if a little bit at a time, then writes zeroes to the drive using the DLG.
