Sure its a simple solution

I just don’t know what that solution is so far.

I bought the My Passport external drive last week and I’ve not been able to get it to work in my Windows 7 laptop or a different Windows 7 laptop I tried but it works in my son’s Mac. It is recognised in the Device Manager and the Device & Printer section in the Control Panel but when trying to access it through My Computer, like with all USB’s I plug in it isn’t there. I’ve attached a couple of screenshots if that helps. I think it might be a conflict to do with the Mac but I honestly don’t know. My son has thrown the box out so I have a serial number if that helps identify the problem: WDBBEP0010BSL-01

Look in Disk Management and make sure the Drive has a letter and is online.

Having never looked at this before, I’m guessing the drive is fine and should be working, so I don’t understand why it isn’t.
