1. When I use the shuffle mode on my E280, it always starts with the same song. It would be nice if it would randomly pick a different startt song everytime that you start the shuffle function.
2. It would be nice if the clock would be visible in all modes of the software, so no matter where you are in the software, the time on the clock would be visible.
3. It would be nice if there was a function in the settings that would allow you to normalize the volume so all songs would be uniformly loud. I listen to a variety of music and I find myself constantly turning the volume up or down.
4. It would be nice if there was a way (software switch in the settings) other than the lock function to lock out the record button on the side of the E280. Occassionally I will accidently hit it and it will start recording. I do not keep the lock button on since i am ocassionally turning the volume up or down or switching in between songs.
If you know of ways to do any of these things on the E280 your reply would be appreciated.

This WOULD be a nice feature & I don’t see why it could not be done. I get tired of hearing the same song starting, and having to hit the FF button to skip it. Along those same lines, a little more “randomization” in the shuffling would be nice. There are several songs I have NEVER heard played via the shuffle mode, and there are some which seem to come up all the time. I’ve even had 4 songs from the same album come up sequentially.

I, too would like to see this in a firmware update. In fact, I submitted a post on this very subject a couple of weeks ago. Unforunately, this forum doesn’t seem to get the viewing traffic as some of the others, so it’s hard to know if the eyes that can do something about it are actually seeing it.
Guess we wait & see . . .
