Thanks to the AMAZING Fuze Vids application, I have been watching videos on my Fuze.
I don’t like watching it flat on a surface, and holding the Fuze is a pain.
I find that I can prop the Fuze up like an easel, but only on it’s top; the bottom has a headphone jack sticking up.
If the Fuze just had an orientation sensor that flipped the screen display over, the easel form would be great!
I suppose I can find some trick to output the video flipped top to bottom, but that seems like actual work.
Just a stupid idea, but I liked it.
It’s a good idea. Wish I had thought of it. Implemented in next release, along with other stuff.

That’s why I prefer the sesign of the Fuze’s predecessor, the e200 series. The videos display in landscape view, and the player’s dimensions make it ideal to set in a business card holder that angles it perfectly for viewing. You can set in on a desk in front of you or on the fold-down tray table in an airplane.
I think that is something that could be done with mencoder. TomJensen would probably know better than me.
