I recently purchased a MY Book Essential 2TB drive to be used on a macbook pro. After formatting the drive for use with mac the icon changed to this icon with a gray drive and an rpm or mph gauge with the arrow at full. (I tried posting a picture but for some reason the forum won’t accept any file type I try)
Is this common or a problem? I searched through the forums (rather hastily I’ll admit) and found nothing on it. The last WD my book i used did not have this icon, it had the normal one. I don’t want to put anything on the drive until I know it is safe. Any answers are greatly appreciated.
