storage cpacity problems

I recently purcahsed th 4 gig model e-260r . after formating and syncing the device prior to adding music it says i only have 1.76 gig available. why cant i get the full storage on this device ? It says 4 gig why cant i get it ? what am i doing wrong ? Please help this is real frustrating.

You probably have preloaded content on your player, or songs from the Rhasody Service. Check around for the settings of loading content. Hope this helps
