Sticking Scroll Wheel

Is there any way I can fix this? It clicks weird and sometimes won’t even move. I’m no longer on my warranty. I’ve tried the wet towel, but that doesn’t seem to work for more then 10 min…

Yo?! Anybody?

Have you tried blowing compressed air under the wheel while rotating it? If it’s a dry particulate that’s wedged in there, that might blow it clear.

If not, beings that it’s out of warranty and you have nothing else to lose, you could try opening it up and cleaning out whatever stickum might be gumming up the works inside. Here are some disassembly instructions & pictures that are sure to help. Click on the pics for a larger view.

I have the same problem,

I used a wet paper towel and had to manualty keep doing it.

Maybe try that…and see what happens

As the wheel is freeing up when the perimeter is moist, it sounds like you have a wee bit of goo.  A few moistening and “wicking” cycles should free up the wheel eventually.
