SSD Dasboard Crash

Hi Lorenzo, Eismann,

Thanks for the confirmation that the tool doesn’t crash.

Performance monitor is not always available on all Windows platforms.

Can you confirm the following for me:

  • Run “PerfMon” from any command line window, or from “computer management” console, open the “performance” tab.

  • Under “Monitor Tools”, click “Performance Monitor” tab

  • Click on the green + button (Add Counters)

  • Check if the “PhysicalDisk” option exist

Thanks for your help

Phisical disk option exist

Thanks Lorenzo,

2 options:

  1. open the registry: run “_ RegEdit _”

    navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\PerfDisk\Performance

do you see a key name: " Disable Performance Counters"

it should be set to 0

if no key, just do nothing

  1. rebuild the counters pointers:

Open a command line in Admin mode

    go to " C:\Windows\system32" on a 32bit system or “C:\Windows\SysWOW64” for a 64bit system

run the following command:  " lodctr /r"

Hi georgealon,

I also have the Physical Disk option:

The “Disable Performance Counters” key doesn’t exist in my registry, “lodctr /r” was executed successfully, but the performance chart still doesn’t work.

Hi Eismann,

I have 2 questions for you:

  1. can you plot all the counters under PhysicalDisk in PerfMon tool?

  2. Can you generate a report using Dashboard (Help tab->Generate Report) and send me the files created.

Thanks, we’ll try to reproduce your issue with the chart.

There you have one picture and your two report files. I guess it’s plotting everything, at least it doesn’t give me any errors.

For me, same Eismann situation, not key on regedit founded, and cmd command not resolve the problem, this is my ssd dashboard  file:

Hi Lorenzo, Your link doesn’t work.

What is your system info? Windows version? service pack?

The link seems work at me,

system info:

Windows 7 home premium 64 bit service pack 1

We have found an issue with the performance chart under foreign languages version of Windows.

We should have a fix on the next revision.

Thanks

Performance chart is ok with version 1.0.3, thank you for support
