Sound

The sound on one side goes on & off depending on clip movement ( I used 2 different headsets).

Moving the headset cable a little does the same thing.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Bad solder point.  Return it for a new player.

Are you sure the headphone plug is fully inserted?  The connector can be tight at first, and some users are concerned that they could break the Clip by pushing the plug in more firmly.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve had the clip for 9 months & use it about 3 hours/day. It just started acting up.

It’s most likely the phono socket. I have the same problem with a Sony walkman, which I can’t fix. Internally the socket is a plastic molded block soldered to a circuit board. Not sure what the clip is like inside but I doubt you can fix easily. The phono jack is a potential problem on any device. I leave mine inserted most of the time
