Songs get randomly deleted

i’ve had my express for about a week now and i love it, its everything i want in an mp3 player. but i’ve been having many problems that other people have been having (i.e. not turning on, getting frozen, getting stuck at the sandisk logo) and now it seems to have randomly deleted lots of my songs. has anyone experienced this problem yet? And i was wondering if you guys think(with all the problems i’ve had) whether i should try to contact sandisk or just return it and get a new one.

Edit: I just checked and the songs that are missing still show up when i plug it into my computer. but when i try to navigate to the song it says empty and when i try to play it is says “no song”

ok i’m returning this tomorrow i just got another problem. when i go to music>songs and play a song, then click context menu and “go back to music list” it just shuts off. And when i tried to turn it back on it took forever to build database.
