Smartware not backing up files larger than 50MB

Just installed a WD MyCloudEX2100 8 gig NAS yesterday. Started backing up my 3 drives to it and it was blazing fast at first. Then I checked it after 24 hours and on all 3 drives, any file over 50MB did not back up. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software to no avail. Turned off Windows Defender and Windows Firewall with no change. Rebooted the computer with every change, etc. Nothing will allow this software to send larger than 50mb files to my NAS.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello there, welcome to the community.

Try going into “services” and checking if “Volume Shadow Copy” is enable, if not, enable it and reboot the computer.

Thanks so much. That service was indeed turned off, and after doing as you said, that fixed the problem.
