I have a 4 Gig SD card installed and loaded with music. It’s recognized on the PC, but I can’t get it to show up in the sansa menu to play the selections.
The card doesn’t show up seperately, the songs on the card and on the player itself are in one list. That’s the “Building Database” message you see when you turn it on. They are referenced by the “Tag”, information embedded in the files, not by the filenames. If your songs aren’t “tagged”, they’ll show up under “Unknown”.
You can verify that the card is recognized by going to Settings->System Info. It should list the capacity of the card and the free space.
