When I connect my sansa view to the computer, rhapsody tells me it is synced and ready for transfers but then when I disconnect my View says “please synchronize device to continue listening.” Computer is detecting and charging device, the device is just not receiving the sync

This would serve no purpose in solving the OP’s problem.
I’ve been having similar problems (I just initiated a new post about it actually). I’ve been having to reformat the device and then resync it to Rhapsody to reload all the song files onto it. Up until yesterday, that has worked.
