My Sansa View audio is breaking up. It like the case is open some and if I press it will play but with a crackling. I swear I have not opened the case. It functions in all other ways. I want THIS item to work. I love all the features of the SANSA VIEW. It just suits my needs perfectly. Thank you. 
You have a loose connection somehwere. Could be a wire, could be one of about a million or so solder points on the circuit board.
It’s going to cost you much more to pay someone to diagnose the problem (if you can even find anyone willing) and there is no guarantee that they will find or will be able to fix it, than it will to just buy a different player.
