I have a large library of music that I’ve taken the time to rip with iTunes to use with my iPhone. I’d like to load up my old Sansa with some of the same music. Is there any easy way to get this music into the Sansa without ripping the same CDs all over again? It’s a 2GB Sansa running firmware ver 1.
What format is the iTunes-ripped music in? If its .aac (or one of Apple’s variants) you’ll need to rip them again to .mp3 format.
There are converter programs out there that will convert the .aac, .m4a, or whatever to .mp3 format, but you’ll be converting 1 lossy format to another, resulting in a much lower quality file. Better to re-rip directly.
Take a look at iTunes Agent.
