I’m trying to get this installed on my Dell 2350 (P4, 2.2Mhz, Win XP - SP3).
I get the following message when the installer starts.
“Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel.”
I do not currently and have never had this software installed. Yes, I did go to the Control Panel 3 times now to double check. It is not there! I re-booted and tried again, same result. I ran a registry cleaner, re-booted, tried again, same result.
Any suggestions??
P.S. - the Installer code apparently has no safety net for this error, after you click “OK” the install shield app just hangs with procedural call errors and you have to go in to Task Manager and kill him.
