Sansa Fuze Portable battery

I have a Sansa Fuze and am looking for a way to use it w/o having the ability to charge it by electrical outlet or car charger.  I found a “Portable Battery Pack for USB Devices” (energizer product) that says it “compatible with electronic devices with a USB connection, including Apple iPod”.  It is also stated that the battery is 5V and 3500 mAh.

Does anyone know if this will work and if the power it produces is compatible with the Fuze?

That should be OK. There was another discussion on this subject not long ago where the OP was going back-packing and wanted a way of re-charging. If you do a search, you should be able to find it. There were a few different suggestions.

3.5Ah is pretty tasty.  Is this the device using the AA size lithiums?

No, it is a rechargeable:

  • Compatible with electronic devices with a USB connection, including Apple iPod
  • Rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack
  • 5V
  • 3500 mAh
