My Sansa Express shut down after 5 mos, similar to the postings on this forum. I took instructions from a customer review on Best Buy’s website. I added a Micro SD card and the unit booted up. I was then able to download the new Sansa update and it works just fine. Plus, I added an additional 2G of memory to an MP3 that I liked until it crashed.
I can’t guarantee it will work but it was worth the try. Check out the comments on the Best Buy website for this item.
Too bad that Sandisk Technical Support couldn’t solve this problem for all the complaints that I see on this forum, but at least one person did. Good luck
