Sansa Express 1GB Screen Is Frozen On "Connected"

I connected my mp3 player into the USB to charge. After awhile I unplugged the player and the screen is stuck on the “connected” screen. I have tried holding down the power button for 20 or more seconds and that has not worked. Please help this was a gift for my younger brother!

I had the same problem, and solved it by doing a ‘hard reset’. To do this you :

press and hold the Select button (i.e. the big square silver button on top of the player) while pressing the Volume Up (+) button

Thank you!  I had this same problem, and I tried the hard reset as you suggest here and it worked.  I was worried that my songs would be erased, but they are still there

hello, I to have this problem, and I just tried this, but it doesn’t seem to work. but how long do I need to hold the button(s)? I’ve tried one minute, 30 seconds, and also 2 minutes… and nothing is happening…

The cause of this was I had it in my Xbox 360 to play off and charge, then I left in in overnight… when I came back in the morning and grabbed it, it had looked like it was off, then came on and showed this screen…

anyways, I’ll keep trying but thanks in advance for an answer…
