Sansa e250 heats up

My son took a wire that had a headphone jack on one end and 2 open wires on the other end, he plugged in the headphone jack end into the sansa and he placed the 2 open wires into the wall outlet. I plugged the sansa into the PC with the USB cable the sansa got really hot and would not turn on and is not recognized on the PC, how can I fix it?

:dizzy_face:Be thankful your son is still alive!

As far as the player, it’s fried. Get a new one.

My only question is . . . where did he get this ‘wire’ to be able to do this with in the 1st place?

Basically at this point what happen actually voids the warranty but also I agree that nothing happens seroiusly to your son.

Son goes MacGyver on the Sansa. I don’t see the point of doing this?
