Sansa CLIP hangs on startup , even after reseting device

I bought a Sansa Clip 1GB, It just hangs on startup . and it stays at the welcome screen (Sandisk sansa) .

Tried reseting it but no result :frowning: . also when I connect the computer powers up the device. but it shows as Unknown USB controller.

Anyway to hard reset the device. ?

any help in this regard  would be greatly appreciated.

If you can’t get the player working I would file a warranty claim.

Wish I could do that, But I bought the player when i was in the US for my nephew in india. so there is no feasible and cost effective way i can get it to the manufacturer
