Will AAC be supported on the Sansa Clip?
this isnt a bad idea, if you look into wikipedia… it says that aac was actually designed to be the successor of mp3 anyway, it is better… why not encourage and push for it… i could always be wrong though… right?
someone mentioned before that acc was not owned by apple but, it has support for it then, why not add support then, its not like sandisk have to get a license from apple, right?

Nope, they would have to pay for the license to the Fraunhofer Institute, who invented both mp3 and their successor aac.
The Clip supports Ogg files, hence imo there’s no need to add aac support unless Fhg would stop selling licenses and start giving them for free
you’ve got a point here… but, why is it taking so long for people to switch formats to the better one.
