I just got a 4 GB microSDHC card given to me for my camera and can’t get it to work. It was given to me from a family member, my family member got one also and it works in her camera. If anyone can please help me i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
You might try reformatting the card using the SD Association’s Formatter tool–it often can fix issues. https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/
Hi. Also make sure that it needs to be in FAT32. Good luck.
The adapter you are using may be defective. The adapter that came with my 16GB Sandisk microSDHC card didn’t work. The card works fine though.
I found this issue on my end as well. Some vendors will package a generic or “clone” version of a SanDisk card adaptor in the package. As a rule of thumb, if the adaptor doesn’t show up immediately when plugged in, as the genuine SanDisk adaptors do, you may have a “compatible replica” adaptor.
I received a few of the little microSD card adaptors with a set of genuine SanDisk microSD cards. In the shipped plastic boxes, the cards and the SD card adaptors within the plastic card boxes were genuine, but the little “key fob” adaptors are generics. I solved the problem with original SanDisk fob adaptors (man, these guys are small! ).
This is a genuine adaptor. Note the OEM part number. The “clones” didn’t have any numbers embossed on them.
