SanDisk Industrial XI burning and short circuiting

Hi,

I’ve just had my Industrial XI run for around a few days and it had suddenly started to short circuit my electronics. This caused the card to short circuit resulting it to start producing smoking burning the back of the SD Card (now has a scorch mark).
Is there a reason for this?
