SanDisk Cruzer Glide flash drive ejects on its own

I bought a 64 GB SanDisk Cruzer Glide flash drive and partitioned it into 2 partitions. I then encrypted one of those partitions (called Drive 2) and it worked fine for months. I would put the flash drive in and the password prompt would show up, I would type my password, and Disk 2 appeared on the desktop (Drive 1 appeared as soon as I put the flash drive in).

Now when I put the flash drive in, Drive 1 shows up but no Drive 2. Sometimes I’ll get a prompt for the password and will put the password in, but the disk gets ejected. Sometimes I’ll put the flash drive in and Drive 1 shows up and I don’t get a prompt for the password. Either way, after about 15 seconds, the disk is ejected and this message appears:

Disk Not Ejected Properly

Eject “Drive 1” before disconnecting or turning it off.

I know the password is correct. I’ve always used the same password and I wrote it down so I wouldn’t lose it.

I’m using a Mac running OSX El Capitan (10.11.6).

I’d like to be able to get the information off this flash drive if possible.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Bobby
