SanDisk 4Gb Thumbdrive error

My computer detects the thumbdrive,

  1. i can see the folders i made but cannot open it.

  2. When i tried to re insert it, file system says FAT32 and the files turns to 0 bytes.

  3. When no. 2 doesn’t happen, see No. 1.

Please help.
