I was going to update my SanDisk today, (which I haven’t done for a very long time) and I can’t find the folder “Root”, I fear that I have deleted it. What should I do?

Did you realize you were replying to a 2 1/2 year-old post? 
I’ve replied to a 2 1/2 year old before. It’s easy, Tape, just speak slowly, and don’t use words like “antidisestablishmentarianism” or try to quantify the nuances of particle physics.
Often, ice cream and cookies may help.
Incidentally, “root” refers to the top directory level of the device, and not a specifically named folder.
I am root. If you see me laughing, you better have a backup.
