Rewriting the Drive?

Hello,

I’ve just bought a PC (Windows 8) and am trying to transfer some of my data on the WD SmartWare Passport into the computer.  The problem seems to be that I put the data onto the computer from a mac and I am unable to transfer anything over.  

I’ve taken all of my data and put it onto another mac to try and format my drive to a PC but don’t know how to.  So, how do I format the drive for the new operating system (Windows 8)???

Hi, you can format the hard drive on the Mac side using the exFat file system. It is compatible with Windos XP/Vista/7/8 and from Mac OS 10.6 forward, this will allow you to use it on Windows PC and Macs. Check the link below for more info.
