will my previous mp3 player be replaced with the new model

More information from you would be necessary to even hazard a guess.

Normally, a product that is deemed defective and replacement authorized by SanDisk Customer Support would be replaced with the same model. There have been cases however, where the unit to be replaced is no longer available, so an upgrade model is substituted.

Will the replacement player include all the accessories with it, headphones and charger? and what about my music that was on my returning player?

The Clips don’t come with a charger, just a USB cable.  Typically, when you return the item for warranty service, you don’t include the working accessories and they don’t get replaced (but I sometimes have receved a full replacement product, with accessories).  Your music is not replaced or transferred, although there are some rare exceptions (such as a player used in prison that was institutionalized and now is being deinstitutionalized–this is done htrough a separate company, not SanDisk).

At least with the Clips I’ve seen, they haven’t come with a charger, just a USB cable.  And for warranty service I’ve seen or used, you generally don’t include the working accessories and they typically don’t get replaced (but I sometimes have received a full replacement product set regardless, with accessories).  But some companies and processes may be different.

Mine was a instution return but not from the institution I was sent home, none of the accessories came with mine we had chaeging stations.

At this point with a lost of over 500 songs all I can hope for is on the replacement is the accessories and a rhapsidy gift card hunh?

From what I gather, you would send the player in with your payment and then get a working player back, with your music on it–that’s the important thing, if you don’t have the music elsewhere.

I didn’t see anything about getting accessories as well (and kinda doubt that you would)–but the Clips only come with a USB cable to connect to your computer or a USB AC adapter with (inexpensively available all over, although I do like the original’s short length–great for travel about) and an inexpensive pair of fine enough but not ecstatic ear buds.  The Rhapsody offer that sometimes comes with the Clip is just for a 30-day (if I recall correctly) free trial to the music service, which at least in the past has been equally availale online at various places (just do a search).

You can charge the Clip with any USB-to-miniUSB cord from a computer or a USB charger (wall, car, etc.)

As for the songs, you’ll have to go through whatever the deinstitutionalization process is.

Have you actually determined that the player is dead and/or faulty? have you tried resetting it by holding the power button down for 20-30 secs, releasing it, then pressing again to start it up?

ys Tape is was dead

Radio Shack and Bestbuy confirmed it

And if you can’t trust BB and RS, who CAN you trust?
