Returning WD Elements 1 TB to factory settings

Hi,
I connected my 1 TB hard drive to Dish network and found that I could not open the content on my PC. My PC does not recognize it. How can I return it to the original factory settings?

I would suggest to refer below mentioned KBA to check for the issues in drive.

If issue still persists, you may try after reformatting the drive in appropriate file format in order to use this drive from the start.

Note: Formatting is a data destructive process and may not retrieve after deletion.
