My old laptop broke and I got a replacement, so now I’m trying to retrieve all my stuff from my old laptop that I backed up on the My Book. After retrieving all the files, I noticed that all my game applications were gone (all the saves and other folders/files associated with the games were retrieved successfully though). Is there a reason for this or something?

The backup software that comes with this drive is WD Smartware. This software will only backup your files not your applications/programs/software.
