First let me say that I am really happy with my Sansa e280R. I had it since Feb of 2007 and haven’t looked back at my Zen Micro. However, there is one thing that the Zen offered in its UI that I think could help the Sansa experience go to the next level.
Instead of adding each song title to the on-the-go list, it would be really useful to hold down the center button while browsing by artist or by album to select multiple tracks at once. For instance, if you are browsing by artist and hold the center button while the artist’s name is highlighted, all of the tracks under that artist get added. The same would apply to searching by album, except just the songs under the album are added to the On-The-Go playlist. I used to build instant playlists with the zen this way and it was really nice, especially for places like the gym where you just want to get started on your workout and not fidget with your DAP.
