Recover deleted files from Cruzer SecureAccess area

A professional repair shop might be able to undelete the folder you deleted.  Short of that since the data is encrypted I can’t think of any other way to recover your files.

In the future delete files not folders.

Hi edagayton,

You can recover deleted files from your Cruzer using a media recovery software. Using this software I was able to recover data from corrupted usb drive with ease. So, you can download trila version of this software and check it.

When you delete pictures (or any files) from a memory card or USB memory device the data itself isn’t deleted, just the file system pointers that says where the data for those files is located. The area where the deleted picture data was stored is also now marked as free space so it is available to the system for any new files to be written there instead.

If and when that happens, then it is too late to recover your deleted pictures so it is very, very important that new pictures or files aren’t saved to the memory card in the meantime.

That looks like a nice app Pansys.  However there are many free apps that do the same thing.  For example:

http://www.scanwith.com/download/Recuva.htm

http://www.scanwith.com/download/FreeUndelete.htm

http://www.scanwith.com/download/Undelete_Plus.htm

Check them out and see what you think.

However, if you prefer paying for an app I think you should try the SanDisk RescuePRO app:

It’s a little pricier than the app you suggested but not terribly so.

I come across this guide which described in detail how to recover deleted files, you may follow it to get back your files

hope this helps.

Thanks  markwwills but for that price I would use the SanDisk RescuePRO app instead.

I know this post was old, but I still hope to share my knowlowdge, because I just met the same problem,

If the card is in the process of formatting, and you realize it, don’t yank the card out as this may cause total data corruption on the card and make recovery less likely. Let it actually finish the format finish as once it’s begun, it usually only tells the card’s file system that space occupied by the previous data is now free to be overwritten, rather than actually erasing the files.

Usually flash cards are formatted with the FAT or FAT32 file system so they should be readable by most operating systems, and mounted automatically as a drive letter, as in the case of most any version of Windows.

Nice SPAM link Jeniferad.  Do you work in marketing for them or are you a contractor?  It’s nice to see that the app has a 30 day money back guarantee but how much money are you charging?  Your webpage hides that number well.

I had the same problem.
To avoid this, connect the camera with the USB cable supplied by the manufacturer. NEVER use the “Card Ports” in the computer.
Companies tend to create a different format on the SD cards not compatible with windows 100% and they vary by manufacturer.

If you have not taken new pictures, try this program Photo Digital Recovery, but use the cable for the camera and connect it to the USB port.

Select the drive letter for that camera and wualla>>>> you?ll get your pictures.

The program cost 29 and change. But is worth it. I got back 235 pictures from my 1Gig SD card that got corrupted when I inserted the card in the computer. Good luck!

Did you try any of the FREE apps listed above before spending for the app you used?

Data loss is inevitable, especially at the hardware level.  While physical hard drives are designed to have a mean-time between failure of well over a million hours (that’s almost 115 years!), recent research has established that 2 to 4 percent of the hard drives in your company (as high as 13 percent in some environments) will need to be replaced on an annual basis.

This is particularly true when hard drives start having scan and reallocation errors. iStonsoft  SD data recovery and Coolmuster Data recovery Windows) is easy to use recovery tool that ensures absolute recovery of lost or deleted photos, Raw Digital Photos, Videos and Music files from all popular storage devices like Hard Drives, Memory Cards, Usb Drives, iPods etc.

I have come across your problem. No need to worry. You have accidentally deleted your files from Sandisk , no problem you can easily retrieves your lost data by using Sandisk recovery software. It not only scan and repair the lost data but also restores them in a new location as user decides.

my pendrive with VERY VERY SENSITIVE data in the ‘Secure Access’ area was stolen, is it possible that whoever is responsible can view my data? For example with the help of maybe repair shop people? Can the secure access area be hacked?

It depends on what you used for a password.  Password is common, as is F**kYou, your phone number, your address, your birthday, the name of your pet, girl friend, boy friend, car model.  Part of hacking your security is knowledge of you and your life.  So if the person who stole your drive is a complete stranger, they probably don’t care about your files and will simply format the drive and sell it.  If the thief knows you and wants to know more about you then the question is how good a password did you use.

Try this data recovery program:

Tips to increase the chances of getting your deleted files back:-
When a file is deleted accidentally on a storage device, make sure that you don’t do anything on it as doing that would increase the chances of new data being written over your deleted files; which would make file recovery impossible.
