I reformatted my passport 1 TB to meet the file system specs of Fat32 to use in my 2011 Chevrolet Traverse for music. Is there some reason why the vehicle’s USB port is still telling me device is not supported? Is there a size limitation of a drive that can be used? If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
Well, for that you need to check the manual or contact Chevrolet, to check if the car is unable to recognize 1TB hard drives. Also if you are using a longer USB cable than the one that came with your passport it might cause some problems, or it might just be that the USB port on the car are not giving enough energy.
If this is a drive that can use a password the unlocker may be causing problems too.

I reformatted the hard drive from NTFS to Fat32, so there isn’t anything on the drive at all.
