I am a Napster subscriber and am curious if protected WMAs stored onto the SD card will play on the Clip+. Do any of you have any experience with this?
The Clips indeed will play DRM-protected WMA files:
A SanDisk video on the process to transfer the files to your player:

And further SanDisk KowledgeBase information:

The Clips indeed will play DRM-protected WMA files. This seemingly includes Napster files (I don’t use Napster):

I’m not sure how the SD card figures into this–that is, if you can transfer the files to the external card or if it has to be the internal card.
You should assume that subscription music won’t play from card memory, as that is what is likely. Some protected non subscription music might play from card memory. If you plan to use subscription music, then buy a Clip+ or a Fuze with enough internal memory for your subscription music, and use card memory for your unprotected music.
The µSD card has some cool integrated functionalities, including DRM and protected media. It’s part of the design. If the Sansa is connected in MTP Mode , and the µSD card is mounted in the device, your Napster music will transfer with the requisite license to the card.
The key is that the protected tracks must be transferred to the card using the µSD port in the Sansa.
