I have an e260, and I’m trying to convert some videos to it that are formatted VOB. It should let me right? It keeps telling me to install the correct codec first. Can someone help? Thanks.
Install Quicktime first, then restart the computer.
(It’s been a LONG while since I’ve played with video, I hope I’m not forgetting anything else… )

VOB suggests that these are DVD’s you’ve copied. I don’t believe SMC will be able to convert these. At least it hasn’t for me. I first have to convert the VOB files to AVI, then turn the resulting files over to SMC for final conversion and transfer to the player.
But also, it depends on whether you have an e260v1 or v2 model. They read & play different video formats.
