Hi

 this is my problem…

there was a blackout while I was writing some datas on my HDD, and now My WD 2TB doesn’t work anymore, from the Disk Management in Windows 7, i can see that the hdd it’s not allocated (the capacity is 0 gb) and if i try to allocate it an error windows will appear (it says that there is a problem with the I/O)

what i like to know is how I can format the HDD (i can delete the files in the HDD)

You can use chkdsk to try to fix the partition. Otherwise, you can partition and format with Windows or Test and erase the drive with Data Lifeguard Diagnostics.

The problem is that i can’t format the HDD

I have almost the same problem, only that when i initialize the disk it show me an error that said Media write protected

what can I do?

Where it shows the disk offline did you try changing that to online and add a drive letter if needed?
