Problem adding and deleting files

Hi. I would like to use my Passport as a regular flash drive where I can store documents, music, and movies, but it seems to complicated to be just that… 

When I connect it to a PC everything is fine, and I can add/delete files as I choose, but when I connect it to my Macbook it behaves as a “Read-Only” document, it doesn’t allow me to add files or delete files on my Passport… 

Please help!

Did you reformat it? It comes NTFS and Mac will read but can’t write to it. The simplest is to reformat FAT32 this will wipe out the data. The down side is the max file size is 4 gig. That will be a problem with video and big backup files.
