I plugged in a new Sandisk 2G Cruzer this morning to Windows XP machine. It took a while to be recognized and
for drivers to load, and afterward asked me to reboot, which I did.
Now I can’t access files on my two USB Hard Drives (500GB and 1TB). I get “Windows Delayed Write Failed” message
when trying access either.
Haven’t been able to figure out what the Cruzer installed, but I’d sure like to be able to remove it.
the cruzer does not install anything to the computer. the driver used is a native generic mass storage driver. this driver is not the same driver used for fixed disks so that should not be the problem either. the error message you are getting is likely a failed hard drive or cable which really has nothing to do with the removable USB storage.
