On some computers and laptops the drive is recognized but there is no data and on other devices it is not recognized at all. Will someone help please. I can hear the disk trying to do something for a while and after there is no sound.
Hello,
It is possible the drive is not getting enough power to spin up properly. I recommend you try replacing the USB cable and also (if possible) try it on a desktop computer just as a troubleshooting step.
Thank you. I will.
best wishes
